KELPHENE CUNNINGHAM is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London (FCIArb). A Barrister since 1981 of both the English and The Bahamas Bars, she holds a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) in International Dispute Resolution, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B (Hons.), a Post Graduate Diploma in Commercial and Corporate law and a Post Graduate Certificate in Equity and Trust all from the University of London.
Her ADR Advanced Certification in Mediation is from the University of Windsor, Canada. Mrs. Cunningham is a recognized leader in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution with expertise in Mediation, Arbitration, Adjudication and Negotiation. As Vice President (Judge) of the Bahamas Industrial Tribunal, she boasts a 98% success rate in reconciling cases. Her illustrious career in the Public Service includes Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Registrar General, Sr. Counsel in the Office of The Attorney General and Legal Advisor to The National Insurance Board.
She now practises in the Law Firm of Kelphene Cunningham & Company providing a wide range of services to both Domestic and International Clients.
